Okeechobee, Fla. – Andy Morgan, the 2013 FLW Tour Angler of the Year, began his title defense last week at the Walmart FLW Tour event on Lake Okeechobee in Clewiston, Fla., with his new Livingston Lures boat wrap and jersey design. Morgan ultimately finished the Okeechobee event in 13th place, after landing a three-day catch of 52 pounds, 6 ounces. That effort was good enough for a $12,000 check and plenty of momentum heading into the remainder of the 2014 FLW Tour season.

Morgan, who edged out fellow Livingston Lures pro team anglers Jacob Powroznik and Stetson Blaylock (who finished eighth overall at last week’s Okeechobee tourney) en route to his first FLW Angler of the Year title in 2013, will be running a Bullet XRS bass boat throughout the 2014 season. The Evinrude powered Bullet’s wrap features the Livingston Lures logo and team colors. New Breed Archery and Bullet Bass Boats are also promoted within the wrap.

Andy Morgan holds up an Okeechobee kicker.“I’ve been looking forward to getting 2014 kicked off and defending the AOY title,” Morgan said. “There are a bunch of great anglers out here so it won’t be easy. Livingston Lures will provide many of the tools that will help me try and get the job done, now I just need to get out on the water.”

“With more top-10 finishes than any angler in FLW history, Andy has proven he is one of the top anglers in the world,” said Livingston Lures COO Basil Battah. “Livingston Lures is proud to have Andy on our team. He will be fishing with some prototype Livingston Lures baits that will be staples in American tackle boxes by mid- 2014.”

After Lake Okeechobee, the FLW Tour will visit Lake Harwell (S.C.), Sam Rayburn (Texas), Beaver Lake (Ark.), Pickwick Lake (Ala.), Kentucky Lake (Tenn.) and the Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray in South Carolina.

Livingston Lures is also an associate sponsor of FLW tournaments as well as the FLW television show.
