FLW announces 2014 Forrest Wood Cup location, 2014 FLW Tour schedule

SHREVEPORT, La. – FLW and the Capital City, Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board announced Friday that Columbia, S.C., would once again play host to the Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing, Aug. 14-17, 2014, on Lake Murray. The last time the Forrest Wood Cup, the sport’s premier event, was held in Columbia was in 2008.

The 2014 schedule of the Walmart FLW Tour was also announced on Friday.

2014 Walmart FLW Tour schedule:

Feb. 6-9: Lake Okeechobee, Clewiston, Fla.

March 6-9: Lake Hartwell, Seneca, S.C.

March 27-30: Sam Rayburn, Lufkin, Texas

April 10-13: Beaver Lake, Rogers, Ark.

June 5-8: Pickwick Lake, Florence, Ala.

June 26-29: Kentucky Lake, Paris, Tenn.

Aug. 14-17: Forrest Wood Cup – Lake Murray, Columbia, S.C.
