Dudley signs with Booyah

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Three-time FLW Tour Angler of the Year David Dudley has agreed to a sponsorship contract with Booyah Bait Company, a leading U.S. brand of premium spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and jigs.

“David Dudley is a fierce competitor and is an untapped resource as a lure expert,” said Booyah Bait Company General Manager Bruce Stanton. “We are working together to release an extensive line of products in our Booyah brand that David has designed. Some of his products are going to be game changers for many fishermen.”

Dudley resides in Lynchburg, Va., and was the youngest fisherman to ever qualify for the Bassmaster Classic at 19 years of age in 1995. He has amassed more than $3.5 million in tournament winnings in his 17 years of fishing professionally.

Dudley said he is ready to pounce on the opportunity to help produce and sell lures and ideas he has worked on for years.

“It will blow your mind when you see what we are about to unleash with the lures I have designed,” he said. “What you think is standard will now be obsolete.”

Dudley has dominated the FLW standings for the past five years, being ranked No. 1 at year end in three of those seasons.

Dudley will be exclusively using and promoting Booyah baits and lures from its sister companies (Bomber Lures, Heddon Lures, Yum Bait Company, Rebel Lures, Smithwick Lures and Cotton Cordell Lures among others) in his future tournaments.

“These brands have been 75 percent of my tackle box since I’ve been fishing,” Dudley said. “Everything from Rebel, Bomber and Heddon to Yum. I am so happy to be working with Booyah, a company that has the same extreme high standards as I do.”

In addition to being a force in professional bass fishing tournaments, Dudley is also committed to being a force in his impact on the lives of others. Through their charity – One Body in Christ Ministries – David and his wife, Angela, reach children, handicapped people and many others. He has committed a large portion of his personal resources to create fishing and other outdoor opportunities for faith-based groups in the Lynchburg area. He has also donated land and resources to community youth and sports groups in the Lynchburg area.

“We share David’s vision of reaching and helping others in need and want to support that part of his life as much as we do the professional fishing side,” Stanton said.
