FLW Tour champion Randall Tharp recently announced a new sponsorship with 4 x 4 Bass Jigs, a family-owned company based out of Russellville, Ala. Tharp has been using 4 x 4 products for the past two seasons and loves the Flipping Jig and Football Jig in particular.
“The owner, Tommy Perry, has been hand-tying these jigs for me for several years,” said Tharp, who broke the FLW Tour margin-of-victory record earlier this year on Lake Okeechobee. “Tommy recently retired and with his additional time he’s planning on taking this company to a whole new level. I know they just launched a new website and are ready to take online sales.”
The EverStart pro said what makes 4 x 4 Bass Jigs special is the hand-tied skirts, unique color schemes and overall attention to detail.
“His custom stuff has got a real good name up in the Tennessee Valley,” Tharp added. “Now they’re planning on sharing their baits with everyone across the country.”
Tharp joins his good friend Brandon McMillan on the 4 x 4 pro staff. McMillan won the 2011 FLW Tour Lake Okeechobee event and recently claimed an EverStart Series win on Lake Seminole with a 4 x 4 Swim Jig.
