Grass Valley, Calif. – Professional angler Cody Meyer and Jackall Lures are happy to announce they have agreed to strengthen their partnership for 2012 and 2013. As part of the new, stronger relationship between the two entities, Meyer will run a Jackall Lures boat and truck wrap for the two seasons.

“Cody Meyer is one of the best young anglers on any tour and a quality individual as well,” Jackall V.P. Curt Arakawa expressed. “We couldn’t be more excited at Jackall. We feel Cody’s future is bright and we want to be a part of his success moving forward. Cody has brought some unique ideas to us that we feel will continue to increase the Jackall Lures brand awareness with the grassroots anglers.”

Meyer is also excited about the stronger relationship.

“I have been with Jackall for several years now and their products have been a key to my success. Jackall Lures continues to be at the forefront of innovation for lure design and that gives me a competitive advantage.”

Meyer has three consecutive top-10 finishes at the Forrest Wood Cup from 2009, 2010 and 2011. On the FLW Tour Meyer has also been very successful finishing 15th in the 2011 points race. Meyer has amassed almost a half a million in earnings in four short years as pro. The most recent two years he has fished on the national FLW Tour and the other two he fished western events.

Jackall Lures, based in Japan has built a strong reputation with American anglers by building quality products with new and innovative designs. New for 2012 are the Clone Fry and Clone Gill as well as the Iobee frog baits. Meyer plans to utilize these baits during the 2012 season.

“I am really excited about the Clone Fry as a drop-shot bait and the Clone Gill will be deadly in and around bed fish. The Iobee frog, I played with a little after ICAST last year and it’s by far the most impressive frog bait I have ever thrown.”
