Minneapolis based Coolibar, a manufacturer of sun-protective clothing, announced today it has reached a sponsorship agreement with professional bass angler Chad Grigsby of Maple Grove, Minn. Grigsby, a four-time Forrest Wood Cup qualifier and recent winner of the FLW Tour Kentucky Lake qualifier, will sport a variety of Coolibar shirts, shorts, hats and gloves during the 2012 season.

Coolibar’s extensive clothing line offers an ultraviolet protection factor of 50 or higher and 98 percent blockage. Coolibar keeps anglers cool, comfortable and fashionable – allowing them to stay focused on the task at hand.

“People tend to think that putting on additional clothing makes you warmer,” Grigsby said. “But the opposite is true in the hot summer sun. Coolibar’s SUNTECT® fabric keeps you cooler and protects your skin. As professional anglers, we spend so much time exposed to the sun’s harmful ultraviolent rays. It’s great to represent a company that addresses a real need for our sport.”

Grigsby’s primary sponsor is Goodwill Industries International.
