Numa Sport Optics announced recently that it’s added veteran FLW angler Bill McDonald to its pro staff. McDonald is registered for each of the four Walmart FLW Tour Opens in 2012, including the season opener on Lake Okeechobee Feb. 9-12.

“Billy is a first class individual and a great competitor,” said Numa Sport Optics Pro Staff Manager Brad Lutz. “We are very pleased to have him on board with us at Numa.”

“I’m pleased to be a member of the Numa pro staff,” McDonald said. “After fishing tournaments for years, it’s good to be with a company that makes very durable frame and lens combinations, which are light weight for those long days on the water. They are light enough that you won’t be sliding them back into place all day, and with the superior optical clarity of the lens, you will see things you’ve missed in the past.”

Numa Sport Optics frames are constructed from patented Tough-Flex and Lite-Flex Frame Materials, which can be bent, flexed, and sat on without breaking. All models feature reinforced hinges and nose-bridge for durability. The lenses are made of impact-resistant and shatter-resistant polycarbonate, surpassing the most stringent optical clarity standards.

Key features of Numa frames are rubberized nose and/or temple pads to prevent slippage, a tight “wrap” to protect against wind, dust and debris, venting between lens and frame on “extreme wrap” models to prevent fogging. All lenses provide 100 percent protection from harmful UVA, UVB and UVC rays.
