Boater Derek Jenkel of Pinckneyville, Ill., used a total catch of 20 pounds, 8 ounces to win the Walmart BFL LBL Division event on Kentucky/Barkley lakes. Jenkel took home a first-place prize of $4,200 as well as an additional $2,000 in Ranger Cup bonus money. Angler: Derek Jenkel.

Boater Derek Jenkel of Pinckneyville, Ill., caught a five-bass limit weighing 20 pounds, 8 ounces March 26 to win $6,199 in the BFL LBL Division tournament on Kentucky/Barkley lakes. Jenkel was cranking near Jonathan Creek to catch his stringer.

Swift nets co-angler title

Non-boater Michael Swift of Alma, Ill., parlayed a catch of 15 pounds, 15 ounces into a first-place finish at the Walmart BFL LBL Division event on Kentucky/Barkley lakes. Swift won a first-place prize of $2,100.Michael Swift of Alma, Ill., caught four bass weighing 15 pounds, 15 ounces March 26 to win $2,100 in the Co-angler Division. He was using Rat-L-Traps to bag his limit.

The next BFL LBL Division tournament is scheduled for April 16 on Kentucky/Barkley lakes in Gilbertsville, Ky. After the fifth LBL Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 BFL Regional Championship on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
