KIMBERLING CITY, Mo. – The Walmart Bass Fishing League is headed to Table Rock Lake Feb. 19 for the first of five stops in the Ozark Division. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards up to $9,000 and $3,000, respectively.

“Fish are still going to be in winter patterns, so it won’t be great, but there are fish out there to be caught,” said Chevy pro Dion Hibdon of Stover, Mo., who has won both the Forrest Wood Cup and Bassmaster Classic titles. “The fish are going to be suspended over deep, deep water. You’ll probably catch them 10 feet deep, but they will be over water that is 100 feet deep. Jerkbaits and jigging spoons will work best and fish slow.”

Takeoffs and weigh-ins will be at Kimberling Inn Resort located at 11863 State Highway 13 in Kimberling City, Mo. Takeoff is scheduled for 7 a.m. while weigh-in will begin at 3 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

The Table Rock Lake BFL tournament is being hosted by Table Rock Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

The BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, offering bigger prizes to those who qualify for regional championships and those who make it to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing – the Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Top winners in the BFL can move up to the EverStart Series or even the Walmart FLW Tour.
