Boater Michael Trombly of Perrysburg, Ohio, caught a 10-bass limit weighing 46 pounds, 7 ounces Sept. 18-19 to win $4,540 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the BFL Michigan Division tournament on the Detroit River. Trombly was using tubes in weedy areas along the north shore to sack his limits.

Scott Davis of Coloma, Mich., earned $2,270 as co-angler winner of the Sept. 18-19 BFL Michigan Division Super Tournament.Scott Davis of Coloma, Mich., caught a 10-bass limit weighing 30 pounds, 11 ounces Sept. 18-19 to win $2,270 in the Co-angler Division. He was using a drop-shot near the mouth of the river to sack his limits.

Coming up

The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings from the Michigan Division have now qualified for the Oct. 21-23 Regional Championship on Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
