BRANSON, Mo. – The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to Table Rock Lake Sept. 25-26 for the fifth and final stop in the Ozark Division. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will compete for top awards of up to $11,000 and $4,500, respectively.

“We’ve had a lot of rain the last couple of weeks,” said FLW Tour pro Stacey King of Reeds Spring, Mo., whose favorite body of water is Table Rock Lake. “The flood conditions have helped push some of the fish into shallow water. However, there is still going to be a good deep-water bite as well. The lake is setting up so that anglers can catch fish any way they want. There should be a lot of big fish caught.

“Daily weather conditions are really going to dictate how anglers should fish. If the sun is high and bright, go deep; if it is cloudy with wind go, shallow,” King continued. “The fish are going to be active, and several patterns will work: spinnerbaits and crankbaits for shallow-water fishing, and keep your bait moving. Texas and Carolina rigs should work in the deeper water.”

King believes that it will take 15 to 18 pounds per day to win the tournament. He said that he would not be surprised to see a lot of 5- and 6-pound fish cross the stage over the course of this two-day event.

Takeoffs and weigh-ins will be at Kimberling Inn Resort located at 11863 State Highway 13 in Kimberling City, Mo. Takeoffs are scheduled for 6 a.m. while weigh-ins will begin at 2 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

The Table Rock Lake BFL tournament is being hosted by the Table Rock Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

The BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, offering bigger prizes to those who qualify for regional championships and those who make it to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing – the BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Top winners in the BFL can move up to the American Fishing Series or even the FLW Tour.
