Boater Chris Baldwin of Lexington, N.C., caught a five-bass limit weighing 12 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday to win $3,505 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the FLW BFL Piedmont Division tournament on Kerr Lake. Baldwin was fishing points with crankbaits to catch his limit.

Coming up

The next and last BFL Piedmont Division tournament for 2010 is scheduled for Aug. 28-29, a Super Tournament at Kerr Lake in Henderson, N.C. After that the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va., where boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
