Boater Rogne Brown of Hixson, Tenn., caught a five-bass limit weighing 25 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win $4,695 in the BFL Choo Choo Division tournament on Lake Guntersville. He was using a jig in 15 to 20 feet of water near the lower end of the lake to catch his limit.

3rd: Dennis Barnes, Boaz, Ala., five bass, 22-12, $1,565

4th: Michael Neal, Dayton, Tenn., five bass, 22-8, $1,096

5th: Kenneth Smith, Tullahoma, Tenn., five bass, 22-3, $939

6th: Jim Pitts, Hollywood, Ala., five bass, 21-13, $861

7th: Dustin Evans, Eads, Tenn., five bass, 21-3, $783

8th: Rick Armstrong, Owns Cross Roads, Ala., five bass, 20-14, $626

8th: Buddy Gross, Chickamauga, Ga., five bass, 20-14, $626

8th: Rodney Hill, Decherd, Tenn., five bass, 20-14, $626

Jett Loach of Ringgold, Ga., caught a five-bass limit weighing 21 pounds, 13 ounces to win $2,343 in the Co-angler Division on Lake Guntersville. Loach was using jigs to bag his limit.

Coming up

The next and last BFL Choo Choo Division tournament of 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 11-12, a Super Tournament at Lake Guntersville in Scottsboro, Ala. After the fifth Choo Choo Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Oct. 7-9 Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., where boaters will compete for a top prize of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
