SOUTH HILL, Va. – After a hot and humid day one of the Stren Series Northern Division event on Lake Gaston, anglers were welcoming clouds and rain this morning, which should drop temperatures some 15 to 20 degrees today.

The rain chance is 60 percent today and then rises to 80 percent for Saturday’s top-10 day. The rain jackets will have to come out but the fishing should improve as lake surface temperatures cool down.

“A little clouds and rain should help what I’m doing,” said Kellogg’s pro Dave Lefebre, who currently sits in third place. “The way I’m fishing is a lot of fun, so I’m looking forward to it no matter what the weather brings.”

The day-two weigh-in of the Stren Series Northern Division event on Lake Gaston will begin Friday at 3 p.m. from Americamps Lake Gaston Resort located at 9 Lakeside Lane in Bracey, Va.
