HENDERSON, N.C. – After two days of competition in the Stren Series event on Kerr Lake, only seven of the 94 pros have been able to bring in a limit both days.

Not surprisingly, five of those seven are in the top 10, and two others, Jacob Powroznik and Chad Pipkens, are in 11th and 12th, respectively.

All along, it’s been predicted that the pro who brings in five bass each day for the four days will win.

It’s now starting to look like about 28 pounds will earn a pro a ticket to the top 10 after the day-three weigh-in.

Currently, the top 10 are about evenly split between pros fishing deep and those fishing shallow. The top three positions are taken up by pros concentrating mostly on shallow water.

Leader Mike Iaconelli has built a solid lead – nearly 4 pounds – for such a tough event.

Going into the second half, pros will have to deal with wind on day three as the forecast calls for a stiff breeze out of the east at about 15 mph.

The day-three weigh-in of the Stren Series Northern event on Kerr Lake will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Satterwhite Point Recreational Area located at 6470 Satterwhite Point Road in Henderson, N.C.
