MINNEAPOLIS – FLW Outdoors announced today 10 Ranger boats will be wrapped with sponsor logos for the 2008 Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour season. The most lucrative tournament trail in professional walleye fishing commences competition April 16 on Lake Erie in Port Clinton, Ohio.

New for 2008, Scott Allar will fish for Team Berkley. Allar is perhaps the best river walleye angler in the game. In his career, the Welch, Minn., pro has accumulated nearly $300,000 in FLW Outdoors earnings. Allar’s resume also boasts seven top-10 finishes, including two second-place feats at the FLW Walleye Tour Championship. In 2008, he will join a legendary team of professional anglers that includes Kevin Vida, Glenn Browne and Sam Newby.

“I am thrilled to be running a Berkley wrap,” Allar said. “They’ve been a sponsor of mine for four years, and I used their products religiously before I was sponsored by them. Simply put, their products are affordable for the weekend and tournament angler, but most importantly, they are extremely effective.”

Allar said his two favorite Berkley baits are the 4-inch Gulp Alive minnow for jigging applications and the Berkley Frenzy Flicker Shad crankbait for trolling and casting.
