BENTON, Ky. – After becoming the first bass angler in history to win $1 million in a single tournament, Scott Suggs has embarked on a whirlwind media tour that includes appearances on “CNN Headline News” and more than 40 television and radio interviews from New York to Sacramento, Calif. Now the 40-year-old electrical contractor from Bryant, Ark., who fishes for Team Folgers, is scheduled to appear as a guest on the FSN (Fox Sports Net) hit “Best Damn Sports Show Period” on Thursday.

The popular sports and entertainment show, which airs nationwide at 11 p.m., will feature highlights from Suggs’ historic win at the Forrest Wood Cup presented by Castrol on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, Ark., Aug. 2-5. Suggs will also visit with hosts Chris Rose and John Salley on the “Best Damn Sports Show Period” set.

“I never imagined the media attention would be like this,” Suggs said. “The past week has been more thrilling than anything I could have ever imagined. It’s hectic, but I love people, so I’m having a ball. Just the number of calls I’ve received is incredible. Even our state senator stopped in for a visit. It’s truly unbelievable what all is going on as a result of the win.”
