HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Fishing fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the most accomplished anglers in the world of competitive bass fishing at five Wal-Mart stores in the Hot Springs area July 29, from 6-8 p.m.

The world-class anglers will be signing autographs, posing for photos and offering fishing tips to store visitors during the two-hour event, which precedes the $2 million Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Ouachita Aug. 2-5. Thousands of anglers from more than 40 states, Japan, Australia, Canada, Italy and Spain have been casting for more than a year to earn a trip to the Forrest Wood Cup, which is presented by Castrol.

Randy Blaukat sits 10th in the Pro Division after the first day of competition.Among the anglers participating at Wal-Mart FLW Tour pro night will be Fujifilm pro Randy Blaukat of Lamar, Mo., who has won over $500,000 in his FLW Outdoors career. Blaukat is one of the best bass fishermen in the sport, having notched seven top-10 finishes on the FLW Tour. Blaukat will be speaking at the Wal-Mart store located at 3604 North Highway 7 in Hot Springs Village, Ark. Joining him will be Castrol angler Mark Phillips of Fayetteville, Ark., and Ranger pro Greg Carpenter of Royal, Ark. For more store details, see the complete schedule below.
