FLORENCE, Ala. – Fishing fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the most talented anglers in the world of competitive bass fishing at two Florence-area Wal-Mart stores Feb. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The world-class anglers will be signing autographs, posing for photos and offering fishing tips to store visitors during the two-hour event, which precedes the third FLW Tour stop, presented by A&W Root Beer on Pickwick Lake, March 1-4.

Eight-place pro Bobby Lane of Lakeland, Fla., five bass, 18-13Among the pros participating will be Spider Wire pro Bobby Lane of Lakeland, Fla., a second-year pro on the FLW Tour who has posted 16 top-10 finishes over the course of his FLW Outdoors career. Lane will be addressing fishing fans at the Wal-Mart store located at 3100 Hough Road in Florence.

Chevy pro Kim StrickerAlso addressing fans at the Florence store will be veteran Kim Stricker of Howell, Mich. Stricker, a member of Team Chevy, has been fishing the FLW Tour, Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League and Stren Series since 1995. Other anglers appearing at the Wal-Mart in Florence are Snickers pro Chris Baumgardner of Gastonia, N.C.; Castrol pro Mike Surman of Boca Raton, Fla.; and A&W Root Beer pro Shad Schenck of Waynetown, Ind.

Wheeler Lake expert  Jonathan Newton is the only top-10 pro who did not fish Guntersville on day one.At the Wal-Mart store located at 517 West Avalon Ave. in Muscle Shoals, Ala., fans will have the opportunity to meet pros such as Jonathan Newton of Rogersville, Ala. Newton, a member of the National Guard team, is also a veteran pro angler but a relative newcomer to the FLW Tour. He has two Stren Series wins to his credit, however, including one on Pickwick Lake.

Also appearing at the Muscle Shoals Wal-Mart will be BFGoodrich Tires pro Kevin Long of Berkley, Mich.; Team Wal-Mart co-angler Laura Long of Berkley, Mich.; Tyson pro Tracy Adams of Wilkesboro, N.C.; and Abu Garcia pro Mark Goines of Shady Point, Okla.
