COLUMBIA, S.C. – Fishing fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the most talented anglers in the world of competitive bass fishing at six Wal-Mart stores in the Columbia area Feb. 6.

The world-class anglers will be signing autographs, posing for photos and offering fishing tips to store visitors during the two-hour event, which precedes the FLW Tour Chevy Open on Lake Murray in Columbia Feb. 8-11.

Among the pros participating will be Kellogg’s pro Dave Lefebre of Union City, Pa., who has three FLW Outdoors wins to his credit, including the 2004 FLW Tour event on Old Hickory Lake and is consistently in the top 25 of the Angler of the Year standings. Lefebre will be speaking at the Wal-Mart store located at 360 Harbison Road in Columbia.

Chevy pro Dion Hibdon of Stover, Mo., who was winner of the 2000 FLW Tour Championship and has amassed career earnings in excess of $1 million, will be addressing fans at the Wal-Mart store located at 2401 Augusta Road in West Columbia.

Kellogg’s pro Alvin Shaw of State Road, N.C., who has seven top-10s on the FLW Tour, including a win in 2005 on Wheeler Lake, will be among the anglers speaking at the Wal-Mart Store located at 10060 Two Notch Road in Columbia.

Banana Boat pro Kevin Vida, Suave for Men pro Art Berry and Berkley pro David Walker as well as many others will be speaking at these and three other Wal-Mart stores, including the store located at 5556 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, the store located at 7520 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia, and the store located at 5420 Forest Drive in Columbia.
