FLW Outdoors radio talks to Wal-Mart FLW Tour angler, Fox Sports reporter at U.S. Open
Pro Chad Grigsby to be featured Sunday
DALLAS – This Sunday tune in to “FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart” to listen to hosts Keith Lebowitz and Tony Casillas interview Team BFGoodrich Tires’ professional angler Chad Grigsby of Colon, Mich., who is pre-fishing for the final regular-season Wal-Mart FLW Tour event. Ric Renner, anchor reporter for FOX News Net, will give a live report from the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y. Rounding out the lineup will be regular guest and Ranger pro-staff guide David Vance.
Grigsby, who has been competing on the FLW Tour since 2002, will attempt to qualify for his first FLW Tour Championship appearance. He will call in from Plattsburgh, N.Y., where the final qualifying event is being held on Lake Champlain June 23-26. Grigsby is currently ranked 74th on tour, and only the top 48 anglers will qualify to fish in the Aug. 11-14 championship on Alabama’s Martin Logan Lake. Needless to say, the pro must have his best performance of the year to make the trip to Birmingham in August.
Renner will give a live report from the green at Shinnecock Hills for the final day of the U.S. Open on Father’s Day. Vance, known as one of the best guides in his home state, will talk about fishing in Texas in the summer heat.
