‘FLW Outdoors’ TV to preview FLW Tour Wal-Mart Open

Parker discusses strategy with Wendlandt, Svebek, Ary; Arkansas’ Curtis profiled

MINNEAPOLIS – Coming April 18 on “FLW Outdoors,” fishing Hall of Famer Hank Parker will preview the FLW Tour’s annual stop on Beaver Lake for the Wal-Mart Open presented by Tyson. The event took place March 31-April 3 in Arkansas. The “FLW Outdoors” team will talk with Team Kellogg’s pro Clark Wendlandt of Cedar Park, Texas, Team Castrol pro Carl Svebek of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Team Tyson pro Todd Ary of Birmingham, Ala., as they prepare for the event that makes its winner $200,000 wealthier.

Wendlandt, who has claimed two of his three FLW Tour wins on Beaver Lake and has earned more than $825,000 from FLW Outdoors events, will talk about how he fished his favorite lake on the FLW Tour. Svebek, who was ranked 19th in the tour’s points standings going into the event and is currently ranked 12th, will talk about his plans to remain ahead of the competition. Ary, who was sitting 95th in the standings going into the event, will talk about how he plans to gain ground during the Wal-Mart Open.

The show will also include a bass profile on Team Castrol member Bobby Curtis of Siloam Springs, Ark. Curtis will talk about how he plans to compete on his home waters.
