MINNEAPOLIS – FLW Outdoors announced today the addition of Dave Lefebre of Erie, Pa., to the Team Kellogg’s professional angler lineup for 2004. Team Kellogg’s members also include pros Sam Newby of Pocola, Okla.; Alvin Shaw of State Road, N.C.; Jim Tutt of Longview, Texas; and Clark Wendlandt of Cedar Park, Texas.

In 2001 the Kellogg Company strengthened its sponsorship program by establishing a top-quality team of professional anglers. The team, which competes in NASCAR-style boats sporting the Kellogg’s™ logo, has amassed winnings of $1.8 million and 59 top-10 finishes. Team members will compete in various FLW Outdoors tournament trails from Kellogg’s-branded Ranger boats.

The newest member of Team Kellogg’s is Lefebre, an FLW Tour rookie who has earned 13 top-10 finishes, including seven top-five performances, in the Wal-Mart FLW Tour, EverStart Series and Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League in just three years. His best finish on the FLW Tour is a third-place showing on the Atchafalaya Basin in 2003. He qualified for the 2003 FLW Tour Championship as the No. 25 seed and finished 15th. He also qualified for the 2003 EverStart Series Championship, where he finished third. Lefebre has amassed more than $116,000 in winnings in FLW Outdoors tournaments and rapidly established himself as a serious challenger every time he hits the water. In 2004, he will compete in a Kellogg’s-branded Ranger boat in the FLW Tour, EverStart Series and BFL.

Wendlandt, the FLW Tour’s only two-time Land O’Lakes Angler of the Year, anchors Team Kellogg’s with 16 top-10 finishes, including six top-five showings. He also ranks third on the tour’s all-time money winners list with $798,500. He finished the 2003 season ranked third in the points standings.

Tutt has earned two top-10 finishes on the FLW Tour and 18 more in the EverStart Series and Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League. His best showing in 2003 was a sixth-place finish on Lake Vermilion in the EverStart Series Northern Division.

An FLW Tour veteran, Shaw has earned five top-10 finishes on the FLW Tour. He capped off his 2003 season as the last angler to qualify for the FLW Tour Championship, where he proceeded to eliminate the tour’s No. 1 seed and finish ninth. He earned $22,000 for his brilliant championship performance.

Newby has earned two top-10 finishes on the FLW Tour, including a win at the Forrest Wood Open on Lake Champlain in 2002. He has also earned five top-10 finishes in the EverStart Series and BFL.
