RICHMOND, Va. – The Fujifilm Blimp, one of America’s most recognizable airborne symbols, will float above Richmond next week to promote the Wal-Mart FLW Tour World Championship of Bass Fishing and Outdoor Show set for Sept. 10-13. The $1.5 million championship takes place on the James River, where the winning pro will walk away with a $500,000 check.

Fujifilm is a premier and perennial sponsor of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour. It sponsors a team of some of the tour’s best and most popular anglers: Randy Blaukat of Lamar, Mo.; Joel Richardson of Kernersville, N.C.; Sean Stickler of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Wesley Strader of Spring City, Tenn.; Sam Swett of Covington, La.; and Wes Thomas of Hanover, Ind.

Fujifilm is also committed to engaging fishing enthusiasts with family-oriented fun. Featured at the Championship and Outdoor Show will be Fujifilm’s trout pond for children to experience the thrill of catching a fish, having a photo taken with the catch and then releasing the trout back into the pond. The outdoor show – which will include hundreds of exhibitors offering great buys on everything from crankbaits to bass boats – is scheduled to take place from 1-9 p.m. daily Sept. 10-13. The championship weigh-in starts at 5 p.m. each day. The event will be set up at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
