MINNEAPOLIS – This week on “FLW Outdoors” television, co-host and angling veteran Larry Nixon talks to some finalists from the Wal-Mart FLW Tour’s Wal-Mart Open that took place earlier this month on Beaver Lake in Arkansas. Nixon will interview the world’s hottest angler and winner of the Wal-Mart Open, Evinrude pro Dan Morehead of Paducah, Ky. Nixon also sits down with the second-place finisher, Randall Hutson of Washburn, Mo., who took home a $100,000 check. Rounding out the guests is FLW Tour rookie Russ Moran of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Morehead, who has a commanding lead in the Land O’Lakes Angler of the Year race, talks about winning the $1.26 million Open, which also marked his third top-10 appearance in the last four FLW Tour events. Hutson, who took second at last year’s Open as well, discusses the wide range of weather conditions the anglers encountered, including temperatures in the 20s, heavy fog and calm, sunny skies on the final day of competition. Moran, who rounds out the guest list after landing $54,500 by placing third at Beaver Lake, talks about how he had never been on the lake until three days before the tournament.
