Former Dallas Cowboys head coach, ‘FLW Outdoors’ TV host to be featured on FLW Outdoors radio
DALLAS – Sunday on “FLW Outdoors Presented by Wal-Mart,” hosts Keith Lebowitz and Tony Casillas will catch up with the great Barry Switzer, former head football coach for the University of Oklahoma and the Dallas Cowboys. Also joining the show will be “FLW Outdoors” TV co-host Taylor Carr and pro Chad Grigsby of Colon, Mich.
Switzer coached the Oklahoma Sooners from the mid-1970s through the late ’80s, during which time his team won three national titles, including one in 1985 while Casillas was a Sooner. After a short absence, Switzer returned to coaching in 1994 when he was named head coach for the Cowboys, which also included Casillas on its roster. Switzer led the team to a Super Bowl victory in 1996. He will talk about football and his love of the outdoors during the program.
Carr – who can be seen on the Outdoor Life Network, which broadcasts “FLW Outdoors” every Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. and again Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern time – will talk about the remaining FLW Tour season that is leading up to the prestigious $1.5 million Jacobs Cup, scheduled to take place Sept. 10-13 on the James River in Richmond, Va. Grigsby, who is currently ranked 95th on the FLW Tour, is shooting to get into the top 48 to qualify for the Jacobs Cup and the $500,000 winner’s check.
