MINNEAPOLIS – This week on “FLW Outdoors” television, co-host and angling veteran Larry Nixon talks to some finalists from the Wal-Mart FLW Tour’s third event of the season that took place earlier this month on Lake Murray in South Carolina. Nixon talks to champion Chris Elliot of Gloucester, N.C.; interviews fourth-place finisher and all-time great Rick Clunn of Ava, Mo.; and visits with third-place finisher John Crews of Jetersville, Va.

Elliot, an FLW Tour rookie, won a first-place check for $100,000 with a two-day catch of 30 pounds, 9 ounces. Clunn, who finished with nearly 26 pounds, has an in-depth interview with Nixon, who was also a finalist at Lake Murray. Clunn and Nixon, two of the most successful pros in fishing history, talk about the patterns they used on Lake Murray as well as their fishing philosophies. Second-year FLW Tour competitor Crews, who landed 27 pounds, 2 ounces, talks about the strategy he used at Lake Murray. After interviewing some of FLW Outdoors’ premier anglers, the tables turn as Nixon answers some hard-hitting questions about competing in the FLW Tour.

Also featured this week will be co-anglers Pam Wood of Bono, Ark., and Laura Aldridge of Berkley, Mich., who finished fifth and ninth, respectively, as well as Jay Yelas of Tyler, Texas, who talks about Texas rigging a plastic worm.
