MINNEAPOLIS – This week on “FLW Outdoors” television, watch some of the best fishing in FLW Outdoors history as the world’s top bass anglers compete on South Carolina’s Lake Murray in the third Wal-Mart FLW Tour event this season. Co-hosts Carlton Wing and Taylor Carr talk with the finalists, including two of the biggest names in pro fishing, Larry Nixon of Bee Branch, Ark., and Rick Clunn of Ava, Mo.

Team Castrol pro Darrel Robertson’s two-day catch of 49 pounds, 8 ounces set an FLW Tour record for an opening-round catch. He led nine other contenders, including Team Fujifilm pro Wesley Strader of Spring City, Tenn., Evinrude pro Dan Morehead of Paducah, Ky., and Bud Pruitt of Spring, Texas, into the finals along with newcomer John Crews of Jetersville, Va., and the eventual winner, Chris Elliot of Gloucester, N.C. Rounding out the top 10 were Stanley Mitchell of Fitzgerald, Ga., and Jody Cordell of Flowery Branch, Ga.

Elliot walked away from Lake Murray with $100,000 and valuable points in the Land O’Lakes Angler-of-the-Year standings.

The co-angler competition also produced an FLW Tour first when two female anglers qualified for the finals and a shot at a $15,000 first prize. Pam Wood of Bono, Ark., and Laura Aldridge of Berkley, Mich., ultimately finished fifth and ninth, respectively.
