Full coverage of Wal-Mart FLW Tour event on Atchafalaya Basin to air on FLW Outdoors TV
MINNEAPOLIS – One hundred and seventy-five of the world’s best bass anglers will be featured on this week’s “FLW Outdoors” television show as they compete in the second Wal-Mart FLW Tour event of the season. The dramatic final round features 10 pros fishing for two days for a top prize of $100,000 cash. The four-day tournament, presented by Frito-Lay, was held on Louisiana’s Atchafalaya Basin.
Saturday’s program, airing from 7 to 8 p.m. EST on the Outdoor Life Network, features “FLW Outdoors” co-hosts Carlton Wing, Taylor Carr and Charlie Evans exploring the challenge that anglers faced finding the perfect fishing spot. Since competitors could venture throughout a huge expanse of bayous, canals, lakes, rivers and swamps, the search for fish was no small task. “FLW Outdoors” will also highlight the exciting and emotional conclusion of the final tournament weigh-in.
Final-round competitors included veterans Gary Klein of Weatherford, Texas; Paul Elias of Pachuta, Miss.; and Dwayne Horton of Knoxville, Tenn.; plus hot newcomers Dave Lefebre of Erie, Pa., and J.T. Kenney of Frostburg, Md.

Prior to each FLW Tour event, “FLW Outdoors” co-host and fishing legend Hank Parker will get the inside story from top tour anglers to give viewers a unique look at the patterns and techniques that are likely to produce winning results. Wing and Carr will go on location to provide on-the-water coverage during each “FLW Outdoors” tournament show, which will be tape-delayed by exactly one week throughout the season to bring the best footage possible to audiences nationwide. FLW Tour weigh-ins, however, will be broadcast live at Wal-Mart stores throughout the country. Following each event, FLW Tour veteran and “FLW Outdoors” co-host Larry Nixon, along with the rest of the “FLW Outdoors” team, will provide a tournament recap with detailed on-the-water analysis of winning strategies and tactics.
