Final EverStart Central Division tourney of the season takes off

SHREVEPORT, La. – Anglers took off from Clark’s Marina on the Red River at 6 a.m. Wednesday to begin action in the last EverStart Series Central Division tournament of the year.

The last tournament means it’s crunch time for anglers looking to do well in the standings. In the Pro Division, Jim Tutt of Longview, Texas, leads with 581 points and has a 21-point advantage over second-place Jim Eakins of Nixa, Mo. It’s tighter in the Co-angler Division where Eric Ambort of Mabelvale, Ark., tops the list with 540 points and is followed closely by Bobby McMullen of Pevely, Mo., with 534.

The total cash purse for this event is $210,000, with $15,000 and a Ranger boat going to the pro winner and $6,000 going to the co-angler winner. The four-day tournament goes through Saturday.

Weigh-in begins Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Clark’s Red River Marina, which is located about 20 miles south of Bossier City on Highway 71.
